Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Head Coach create, organize and conduct a comprehensive sports training program
• Assist Head Coach with sports training and competition
• Train athletes during scheduled practice times as well as accompany team to competitions
• Create and maintain a positive and fun environment for all athletes
• Teach all athletes the rules of the sport and sportsmanship
• Responsible for abiding by the Coaches Code of Conduct
• Limited leadership responsibilities. Can fulfill Head Coach position on a limited basis as needed
Upon successful completion, you will be recognized as a cleared Team Volunteer. To qualify as a coach, you are required to attend an online coaching training session specific to your sport. This training is mandatory and must be renewed online every three years. you also need to complete the online mandated reporter training that will be sent to your email address
Commitment:
• This position requires one weekday or weekend (approximately 2-3 hours) for practice during an 8 (minimum) to 12 (maximum) week season
• This position requires 2-3 weekends for athlete competitions during the season
