KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Select a Tip-a-Cop in a city near you or start a new Tip-a-Cop to lead and attend Recruit team members and SOSC athletes to assist with tasks, strongly encouraged Connect with local law enforcement agencies (contacts provided) to coordinate involvement Reach out to establishment to introduce yourself as SOSC volunteer representative – establish rapport and appreciation of their support (in some cases, SOSC may have a contact already and we will connect you to them) Coordinate with SOSC staff to collect all materials prior to the event Orient volunteers, law enforcement, and athletes before event Manage donation collection and merchandise table Ensure photos are taken to assist with social media promotion Return raised funds and materials to local SOSC office (within 2 business days)TRAINING & SUPPORT Attend and shadow at least two Tip-a-Cops before being a lead Overview of tools and resources needed for tasks Supply box and training instructions provided on how to run credit card machine and fund reconcile formCOMMITMENT Tip-a-Cops are year round, throughout Southern California. We hope that Leads can support one or more event a year and can help form a leadership team.
